What is Scabbling used for?

Floor grinders (also referred to as concrete floor grinders or concrete grinders) are used by our specialist surface preparation division. We use a range of scabbling equipment on surface preparation in projects across the UK and Ireland.

Scabblers are used for general preparation and also for removing 3-20mm off a concrete floor slab relatively quickly as this cannot be achieved by vacuum blasting or triple head grinding.

Scabblers use compressed air to hammer piston-mounted bits into the concrete surface. They tend to roughen the concrete surface more than grinding or scarifying
