    AFS the right formula for Newbaze

    Chinese baby formula specialists, Newbaze, engaged Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) to upgrade their €20m facility in Carrickmacross Co Monaghan with a high build flooring system.

    Trading as Ireliffey in Ireland, the company has invested €20m in modernising its facility that will specialise in the production and packaging of nutritional dairy powder products for the Chinese market.

    Using the lastest surface preparation equipment, we began the project with aggressive remedial work to remove numerous old coatings across the 5,000m2 floor.  To remove any remaining contaminants, we further prepared the concrete deck slab using a combination of vacuum grinding and vacuum blasting techniques.

    After initial preparation, we installed two primer coats for Flowcrete SF41.  A further finishing coat of Flowcrete SF41 was then applied to the flooring area and coving, with additional line-marking helping to complete the project.

Properties such as anti-slip and enhanced chemical resistance can also be incorporated where necessary.

    We use a wide range of resins from the major suppliers such as Sika, Flowcrete, Remmers and Larsens; ensuring we can choose the correct supplier to suit your project, rather than the suppliers!

    In any Industrial Flooring project, surface preparation is key, this is why we use our own in-house surface preparation division which has access to all the latest vacuum assisted preparation equipment.
