    AFS complete successful upgrade for An Garda Síochána Clifden

    Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) has continued its successful partnership with the An Garda Síochána with the recent installation of a new flooring system in the Clifden Co Galway Garda Station.

    Following removal of the previous floor system and aggressive surface preparation, AFS successfully installed a new screed system with matching coving in the Glifden station.

    The latest project with An Garda Síochána comes on the back of AFS’s recent successful installations of new floor systems in the Baltinglass, Clondalkin, Castlebar, Castlerea, Killarney, Mullingar, Monaghan, Tralee, Tramore, Tullamore & Limerick Garda Stations.

    AFS weld flooring success for Donegal ETB

    Following numerous failed floor systems, Donegal ETB engaged Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) to help remedy flooring issues in their Letterkenny welding workshop.

    Donegal Education and Training Board (ETB) provides a broad range of Educational Services including post-primary schools and colleges, further and adult education and third level education. The County ETB turned to AFS after numerous other contractor flooring systems failed in their welding workshop in Letterkenny. The result of the failed floor systems meant that the workshop floor was becoming unsafe and expediting damage to the underlying concrete substrate.

    AFS was selected by Donegal ETB due to their years of experience in helping remedy failed flooring systems. The industrial & commercial flooring experts began the project by removing the existing floor system using their specialist in-house surface preparation division.

    After preparation, AFS installed a primer coat over the prepared concrete substrate to act as a key for the new floor system. A leading floor screed was then hand troweled on with decorative coloured flakes broadcasted into the screed.

    Finally, grout, joints and seal coats were applied to protect the new floor and complete the project. The new floor system will provide Donegal ETB with not just floor system that won’t fail, but also one that is hard wearing, decorative – helping ensure their training and education continues in a safe flooring environment.

    AFS drive further success for Donegal ETB

    Following a previous successful engagement, Donegal ETB turned to Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) to drive a successful upgrade of their garage training workshop in Letterkenny.

    Donegal Education and Training Board (ETB) provides a broad range of Educational Services including post-primary schools and colleges, further and adult education and third level education. The County ETB previously engaged AFS to help upgrade a welding workshop in Letterkenny.

    For this latest project, the client required AFS to remove and upgrade a failing floor in their garage training workshop in Letterkenny. The industrial & commercial flooring experts began the project by removing the existing floor system using their specialist in-house surface preparation division.

    After preparation, AFS installed 2 coats of MPM Duroglass P5/4 – a hard wearing expo perfect for workshop and heavy traffic area environments. Jotun line marking was then applied to help demarcate safe zones around the multiple lifting ramps and other machinery throughout the workshop. The new floor system provides Donegal ETB with another successful installation and helps them continue their training programmes throughout the county.

    AFS take Newbridge multi-storey car park to the next level

    With heavily worn and failing car park waterproof system, Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) were tasked to take a busy multi-storey car park in Newbridge to the next level.

    Based in Co Kildare, Newbridge is a busy and popular market town in Ireland. However, the main multi-storey car park had a heavily worn waterproof system and the client required a specialist waterproofing contractor to supply and fit a new car park waterproof system.

    With years of experience in providing the complete car park decking solution, including top deck and basement waterproofing, the client turned to AFS. AFS began the project by preparing the existing surface using vacuum diamond grinding.

    Following preparation, AFS supplied and installed a new MPM full waterproof membrane over the 1,000sq metre car park. As the client required the car park to stay open during the upgrade, AFS completed the complete project outside normal hours and so ensured the busy town centre car park remained accessible to the public.
