Following the successful Corries Meats project, Smiddiehill Farm turned to Advanced Flooring Systems (AFS) to install a new polyurethane screed floor system at their farm in Newtownards.
During an on site inspection, AFS identified that the existing concrete had been aggressively attacked by the molasses in the feed for the cows. To help protect the substrate, the client required a new screed system, 1.2 metres wide along both sections, that would leave leave the feeding section easily cleaned and maintained.
AFS were able to prepare the concrete using their in-house specialist surface preparation equipment. Following preparation, the industrial flooring experts installed a new hard wearing and easily cleaned polyurethane (PU) screed flooring system.
